South End is quite literally where it says it is, south of Uptown Charlotte. Established in the 1850's, South End is sprawling with apartments, restaurants, antiques, and shopping. The aesthetic consist of old mills and warehouses. Centrally located, one can get around by either bike, train, car, foot or electric scooter. This neighborhood boost a community feel with events like Front Porch Sunday occurring every first Sunday between April and November where local vendors and food trucks set up for Charlotte’s enjoyment.

For those wanting a bit of isolation and a calm, white picket fence type of lifestyle, the south end area won’t hold much appeal.
